The Lion Brief is a student-run financial research organisation dedicated to bridging the gap between the classroom and the deal room. Founded and operated entirely by students, we publish independent analysis on M&A transactions, IPOs, and private equity deals — giving our members real research experience, published work under their own name, and the analytical foundation they need to compete for the most sought-after roles in finance.
We are not a classroom. We are not a course. We are a community of ambitious students doing the work — together — because we believe the best preparation for a career in finance is actually doing finance.
Members of The Lion Brief develop the deal vocabulary, analytical instincts, and professional portfolio that distinguish candidates in investment banking, private equity, and advisory recruiting. We welcome students from any university, any year, and any background — as long as they are serious about finance and committed to the standard we hold ourselves to.
